GROUND ZERO isn’t just a name, an event, or something catchy to print on a T-shirt, it’s a place of explosion, a beginning, a movement, a revolution of word, image and sound!
Originating in the “Arts on the Ave” district, GROUND ZERO represents the cultural revolution and revitalization happening in the streets of Edmonton, Alberta—bringing together local and international authors, artists, musicians, and other spoken…-word performers.
In addition to the monthly spoken-word event held at the Naked Cyber Café & Espresso Bar on the GROUND ZERO brings the revolution into the streets to the places in and around Edmonton that need it most: the missions, hospices, hospitals, community centres, boys and girls clubs, nursing homes, senior centers, libraries and schools.
